Malamala Private Game Reserve: Wildlife and Animals
MalaMala Private Game Reserve offers superb wildlife viewing of all large safari animals, including the „Big Five“ (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and Cape buffalo). The game reserve is part of the Greater Kruger National Park ecosystem, which makes for a very authentic wildlife experience. Leopard, lion and cheetah are easily seen in MalaMala, and off-road driving in open vehicles assures that sightings are of the highest quality. Elephant and buffalo are common as they are attracted to the Sand River. The best time to view wildlife in MalaMala is the dry season (June to September).
